Merrell footwear users may wish to discover a new walking trail, which has just been opened in the Argyll region of Scotland.
The Dalriada Heritage Trail has been opened as part of the launch of the Argyll Tourist Alliance, which is seeking to promote the area more to visitors for its scenery and history.
Covering 19 km in a circular route, the track includes ancient woodland, the Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve, Carnasserie Castle, Dunadd Fort and a range of stone circles, burial mounds and other ancient monuments.
Such a combination may offer a new attraction for those keen to enjoy walking in places they have not yet discovered and with the partnership launching a new Heart of Argyll website, visitors may discover plenty else to see when walking in the region.
The area lies west of Scotland's first national park, the Loch Lomond and Trossachs, which has 60 designated ancient monuments of its own.
Will you be checking out the new trail?
