New SIGG Bottle Styles now in Stock

A SIGG bottle is an indispensable piece of kit for any outdoor adventure, and the ideal choice for strapping to the back of a pack for easy access to cooling fluids. The robust and almost unbreakable design is able to take more than its fair share of knocks and scrapes, and is sure to live to see another day, or even decade! Such is the strength and quality of construction. Easy to attached, and with a secure fastening, you can be sure that when in the woods your SIGG will never suffer from spikes, and the bottles can be dropped and generally mistreated  without risk of damage. The high strength one piece design eliminates weak points, and outdoor enthusiasts can’t think of a bad word to say about them.

SIGG bottles offer an aesthetically pleasing design, are easy to fit in a pack, and you can chuck one of these bottles into the bottom of your pack, and not run the risk of it getting squashed and bursting. The same can is certainly not true of plastic bottles, no matter how robust their design. However if you really have to criticise the bottles and want to get picky, they do have a little difficulty with ice. Naturally, when the temperatures plummet and dip well below freezing, if you leave your bottle out in the cold filled with water, as the liquid freezes and expands, the pressure can be too great even for the aluminium, and may cause it to crack. Even SIGG bottles can’t cope with frozen contents it would seem. Of course, this is not a problem purely affecting the SIGG bottle, as all aluminium and plastic bottles will suffer the same fate with freezing contents.

The real problem with ice actually comes when the temperatures soar and summer gets into full swing, because try as you might, you’ll not get an ice cube through the narrow neck of the bottle.  If you have not got immediate access to a Fatal Attraction style ice pick to chip away at your cubes, and want to make sure that your fluids are chilled to perfection for maximum refreshment, a SIGG bottle is not the ideal choice. Well, that was until now that is. The one design flaw in the SIGG design has now been solved, with Purekit now stocking the latest wide mouth bottles, perfect for summer and guaranteed to cope with pretty much any shape of ice cube, and with 1 litre or 1.5 litre capacity bottles, it makes for a lot of ice! The new 48mm opening will help you to get through the heat of the summer and stay cool, calm and collected when you head out into the great outdoors.

Of course, with this being January, the heat of the summer and keeping cool is probably the last thing on your mind, so if you want to take advantage of the highly versatile design and take hot drinks with you, why not pick up a SIGG neoprene cover. It will improve the insulation, make a hot bottle easy to handle, and will keep your drink hotter for longer, or cooler in summer for that matter. Of course if you are buying one of the great new designer SIGG styles and want to make double sure that you don’t accidentally scratch the outside, it will offer extra protection to keep your bottle’s nice shiny paint job as pristine as the day you bought it.
